Captive Insurance Account Manager

Overview

Captive insurance managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of captive insurance clients.

Key Functions

• Manage all aspects of captive insurance company operations, including regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and board governance.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS).
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, actuaries, and tax advisors.
• Ensure timely submission of regulatory filings to the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).
• Preparing board meeting materials, presenting to clients.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact.
• Onboarding of new clients.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
• Recognized accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA)
• Prior experience in captive insurance, insurance management, or auditing insurance client
• Knowledge of Cayman Islands insurance regulations and CIMA reporting requirements preferred but training will be provided
• Experience working with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Prior client-facing experience in a professional services environment preferred/Strong communication skills
