Cayman Islands auditors are responsible for delivering high quality audits for licensed investment funds. This ensures compliance with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority regulatory requirements.
Key Functions
Lead audits of investment funds from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
Supervise and review work performed by junior team members, providing mentorship and training as needed.
Review of audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
Perform substantive testing of complex investment valuations, income recognition, and partner allocations.
Liaise with fund administrators, investment managers, custodians, and legal counsel to obtain audit evidence.
Monitor engagement timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient service delivery.
Stay up to date with local and international accounting and auditing developments, including hedge fund industry trends.
Required Qualifications/Experience
A recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA) is required.
Minimum of 2–4 years of external audit experience, with at least 1–2 years focused on investment funds.
Strong working knowledge of investment accounting standards
Familiarity with hedge fund strategies, NAV calculations, and valuation techniques.
Experience auditing funds administered by leading global fund administrators is advantageous.
