Overview

Cayman Islands auditors are entrusted with delivering high quality reports to a portfolio of captive as well as commercial insurance and reinsurance clients. This ensures compliance with international accounting standards and the annual regulatory reporting requirements of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

Key Functions

• Support audit engagements for captive and commercial insurance/reinsurance clients in accordance with auditing standards.
• Audit fieldwork, including risk assessment procedures, control and substantive testing
• Review of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS
• Liaise directly with key stakeholders – e.g. insurance managers, actuaries, TPAs
• Ensure timely completion of audit deliverables within deadlines and budget.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CIMA regulations, insurance industry developments, and accounting standards
• Support on-going internal projects to drive efficiencies

Required Qualifications

• Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA) is required.
• Minimum of 2–3 years experience ideally with exposure to insurance, reinsurance, or other financial services.
• Working knowledge of insurance accounting, reserves, and regulatory compliance desirable
• Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with client and internal colleagues, collaborative team player
